Nick Ecker, the owner of Charter Arms, is now answering questions every week on YouTube - Nick’s Corner. It appears that they have new products coming out soon. They’re also asking for our questions for next week.

I can't wait for a "Classic" Undercover with a 3" tapered, unshrouded barrel and fixed sights.

He actually answered my question on that.

Would love to know if they got the sights on right for the .32 "Professional"! Was shooting way low/high from the factory originally so I haven't bought one.

Maybe they’ll include adjustable sights, as they’ve done for some who’ve sent their Professional back to customer service due to bad sight alignment.

Are they considering making the 9mm Federal again?

Okay, jokes aside I like this interaction with their customers because it feels like the guy running the show isn't out of reach or out of touch. The reality is that the Professional .32 has been a disaster and the rumors about adjustable sight upgrades and inaccurate information have been swirling for years. I also like this because now I can ask him when they're going to make the website better, cuz it uh, it's no bueno.

There's not much more that Charter makes now that I would want to buy from them. The only thing I can think would be when can we get THIS in .45 Colt?

Honestly, if Charter would *really* up their game, push out good fit/finish; they could do better. Get rid of those shoddy Plastic and aluminum trigger guards, go to steel. That, or actually color match em *right*. Their Bulldog Classic looks good, and a few Undercover and other snub .38 models, but you gotta be competitive. Aesthetics is part of that. If Taurus can do it, so can Charter Arms.

Bring back their 79K and other automatics.

They don't really make anything I would buy, that I couldn't buy elsewhere that has been manufactured better, except a Bulldog Classic.

There are two revolvers that are on my get ASAP list and they're both Taurus: the 8 shot 942 blued ultralight and the 692 .357/9mm 7 shot in stainless. Charter is never going to make a 7 shot .357, they are going to make the Pathfinder in an 8 shot, but I just feel that the Taurus is better.

I ask myself what I want made for a revolver that's not currently made and beyond a 10mm Magnum and a 5 shot .32 S&W Long Wadcutter that's also capable of shooting .32 ACP that's about it and I don't have much interest in buying either of those from Charter. If it was the Charter of the 1970s and 80s I might think differently, but I could lament about how much better made everything was back then until the cows come home.

What Charter makes for now is all they really need to, but I would like more shrouded hammer models in calibers other than .38 and .44 Special.

I would love to see more choices in .32 H&R, especially in their 12oz Off Duty (S&W 442/642 competitor).

In the last segment, Nick said the .327 Magnum is meant for rifles and they won’t make another revolver in that caliber. I don’t have any experience with that caliber.

I would love to see a version of the Bulldog Classic with just a 2” tapered barrel with no under lug. Almost a copy of the original Undercover but .44. I like the feel of the Boomer but dislike porting and it needs a front sight.

.327 is too hot for what Charter makes. I mean, .41 Mag is no slouch, but .327 is a very high pressure chambering. I wouldn't want to buy a .327 made by Charter anyway.

Would be cool if Charter started the push for a .32 Magnum +P, something loaded hotter than the 21K PSI that .32 Mag is. It would add that little extra to ensure full expansion and added penetration with hollow points even from snubs.

I was just about to say that myself. Charter doesn't really do high pressure cartridges. Sure would like to see them get their Professional in .32 H&R straightened out though. I'd like to have one to complement my Bulldog Pug.

Same here. With the fixed sight I'm just not willing to change how I sight a defensive firearm. Now, if I could find one cheap I'd pay the money to have an adjustable rear sight installed. But I'll be darned if I'm going to buy a new piece and spend decent money to make it the way it needs to be.

Im wanting to purchase a Charter Undercoverette 32 H&R 6 shot Stainless Steel & Aluminum frame

The questions to Nick are apparently submitted via Facebook. I suspect they if enough questions aren’t asked, pretty soon they’ll discontinue the series.

45LC is one I would like to see from them. Low pressure so should be doable.
They do make it, but it's in a larger frame than the .44 Bulldog and only in a 2.5" barrel. I wouldn't be opposed to them making the .45 Colt in a longer barrel, but at that point it's like, why not get the Ruger Redhawk that can take 50K PSI? That's probably why Charter never bothered with a .44 Mag, Taurus already has a 5 shot .44 Mag and the price would be extremely hard to beat.

IMO the focus for Charter should be (and seemingly has been for a while) is to make what others are not. Nobody else was making a 7 shot .32 Magnum double action, so Charter did. Nobody else was making a snub that could chamber and extract rimless calibers without a moon clip, so Charter did. Few are making .41 Magnum or .45 Colt snubs.

Other than an enhanced clone of the H&R Young America .32 and maybe 10mm Magnum there isn't much left that Charter can introduce that isn't already made by someone else and, frankly, made better.

They made the 327 WAY too hot trying to chase 38 Special energy numbers.

They should have made it be the same 35k PSI range as the 357 and 44 Magnum. Not 45k.

Bought a used Mag Pug and owned it briefly. Couldn't hit anything with it. Took a closer look at the barrel and noticed it was caked with lead. Ran a copper brush through it a few times and took it back to where I bought it. Put it on consignment and told the owner of the shop about it being caked in lead.

He's like "the previous owner only shot shake shot out of it. Pretty sure he couldn't hit anything with it either."
