So I bought my first charter arms earlier this year. Great little revolver. I love it dearly. It always had a lil wobble in the cylinder and concerned me but it shot fine and timing looked good. I went ahead and sent it in just to feel better about it. Well it took 6 weeks in their possession but I just got it back. SUPER tight lock up now! I mean this thing feels like my colt king cobra! It feels like they did a little trigger work as well. Much smoother. Easier. The receipt says the replaced the ejector and hand. Brittany the warranty lady called me yesterday and said it’s on the way. Ding dong... here it’s home 24 hrs later!!! Overnight shipping. I couldn’t be happier. Glad to have my little sidekick back with me on my daily grind. Hats off to nick and the gang!!!

Yes it does. I always watch what happens to other folks. Might be you someday! Nick and the gang are on the ball! Now if I just could find some ammo..... :)

I guess most of you wheel gun guys know that I’m
a Charter guy ... owning 9 ...
Im sooo happy the OP had a great experience with Charters warranty service...

My last experience with Charter was actually the worst customer service I have ever experienced..

I purchased a brand new factory fresh Charter Bulldog ... 44spl ... when I got it home I found that the barrel was canted .. I contacted Brittany Nurse
at Charter and I then sent it in ... after 2 months of waiting ( 2 months) I emailed to check the status ...
about 8am at 4:00pm .. I got a call Brittany telling me my gun was ready ....

I received the Bulldog.. packed nice .. with a new hat !!! And a detailed hand written note explaining what was done ..
I took the gun out .. checked the barrel .. perfect
Then I opened the cylinder and noticed some of the blueing was missing at the edge of the frame ..
Then I closed the cylinder.. and it drug against the frame .. I opened it again slowly.. another drag ...

It didn’t have that problem before ... I sent it .. a very noticeable drag mark on the frame ...

I took a few pics sent to Brittany.. I figured another trip to get re-fixed ... But when I got the reply ..
It stated the technician said ... It was normal wear and tear ???
I sent a reply ... stating it is a New unfired gun .. what wear and tear ?
I took a couple more pics ... sent them
She basically said the same thing ...

I replied .. I have 8 Charters none of them drag the cylinder...
I have 10 other brands of revolvers... none of them have a cylinder that drags
I have owned Alot of revolvers over the last 40 years
none of them had a cylinder that drug the frame ...
Even RG’s !!!!

So a break down
1. 2 months
2. Inquiry about status
3. A rush job
3. Gun returned worse than when it left.
4. Communication with people , saying its normal for a new in a box handgun that after is repaired is returned with a dragging cylinder ,, Normal !!!

It seems like they “Don’t Care “

Glad your was shipped overnight...
Mine was out 5 days

I now own a $425 paperweight

The transfer bar broke on my Charter Arms 9mm PITBULL a few months after I'd purchased it. Charter Arms cut me an airway bill, I shipped it to them and got it back in 2 weeks. SO.. its not great that the transfer bar broke, but they handled it really well. My experience was that they provided good customer service.

Received a phone call 1 hour after I sent email
from Steve ....
they are sending a label...
emailing the owner helps

Its a shame they thought ( or just said ) a dragging cylinder is normal

Good! Nicks a great guy. I’m sure they’ll make it right. Seems to me CA and Ruger have the best customer service in the wheelgun game. All the manufacturers have issue with QC it seems

Now guys .. Im not giving up on Charter .. Im vested in Charter .... I wasn’t handled right at first .. seems like it going to be worked out ..
My next revolver is going to be a Charter Undercoverette lite 6 shot 32 H&R

I have four Charter Arms revolvers. One I bought new, and the other three used. The new one and one used one had problems. Charter fixed them both for free. I was grateful for the fast service. The new revolver should not have passed QC. I believe that the defective used one had barely been fired before the owner noticed the problem and dumped it. So, CS is good, but QC maybe not always so great.

Mine was still shooting fine, (bought it second hand) but it was looking a little long in the tooth. So I called (back in the mid 90's) and shipped it UPS/FEDEX. Came back looking like new from the factory. No note, but they did replace a number of the internals (no longer could I pull the trigger with the cylinder open). Still have it - installed a used 3" barrel on it and it shoots just as good now as it did almost 40 years ago. Not bad for a 55 year old

Older Charter 357 target 4 inch barrel

Hey if QC is so-so at this price point I’m kinda “ ok” with it. As long as the CS is good. I paid 258.00 shipped for mine and couldn’t be happier. Instead of an old model 10 for the wife’s house gun I think maybe the bulldog or police 38 will get the nod

I emailed him .. we will see if he will stand behind his product ...

I will report...outcome

U can read above posts about problems with my new Charter Bulldog
I received it beck yesterday...9 weeks .. not bad for as busy as they are ... Gun came back perfect...Reblueing was the hold up .. they told me in advance
Hats off to Charter .. great job .. dang great revolver..Im heading to the range hopefully this afternoon.. limited range time .. just checking function... ammo is gold at this time ... hopefully after pending neck surgery to repair cord pressure.. My feeling and dexterity will return in my hands and fingers and and I will be able to reload again .. until then Im at the mercy of factory ammo

I can’t wait to see how it shoots. Any pics would be great! Ammo is GOLD for sure. I haven’t shot mine since it’s return due to ammo shortage

My brand new .357 target bulldog has been back for repair at Charter for 4 weeks now, they say it may be another 2 weeks for before it gets looked at. I was about to email Nick, but after reading this thread it seems like this long timeframe may be typical?
