I'm looking at options for a cheek riser on a factory stocked Ruger American. The comb is way too low for the scope (which is mounted about as low as it will go. I don't want to swap to an At-One or something like that, so am looking at options to add something to raise the comb.
I am torn between getting a basic kydex riser and drilling the stock, making foam riser and using wrap to secure it, or getting a strap on style riser pad/ammo holder thing. I am leaning towards one of the options that doesn't alter the stock at least to begin with, but if the kydex riser is the way to go I'm not against drilling a couple of holes.
There are probably lots of folks that have tried various options, so I thought I would throw it out there: what have you used that you like (or don't like)?
