Chinese Coaches?

The CZ is also quadruple the price of the Chinese guns.

I'd imagine it would be nice.

I also see Cimarron imports a Colt 1878 coach gun clone, also made in China. Does not have any safeties at all, but retails for $500 or so.

I see this has the cross bolt safety, which seems somewhat undesirable to me.
Back to the Remington Spartan (Baikal): It has a tang safety, and from the factory it goes automatically to safe upon opening the breech. However, it was a five minute job to disable this "feature" so that the user has manual control over it.

Is there a website somewhere that states how to do this? I'd like to not have the safety go on automatically.

As for the Chinese guns, I always thought a 20 gauge would make a nice lupara. Maybe one day when time and money allow.

Mine is an 1878. It's really very nice, especially for shooting clays of all things.i had a video at one time shooting both barrels at once. It made a nice purple-ish flame.

I have the EAA Bounty Hunter II made by Baikal with the external levers and internal hammers, model IZH43K. The one with the true external hammers, model IZH43KH, was not being made when I got mine. I picked up a Chinese made coach gun at a local gun shop and, when I tried it out that afternoon had several failures to fire so I carried it back the next day and bought the Russian coach gun, the only other one he had. I have been well pleased with my choice. The Baikal guns are no longer being Imported due to sanctions against Russia.

I have the jw2000 in 20 gauge. I got it pretty cheap when a local gun store owner was retiring and shutting down. Cosmetics are what they are for a inexpensive gun but it isn't anywhere near terrible. Mines still stiff even after 5 years and tons of turkey loads through it. I'd get the 12 gauge if I found one for $229 it would have already came home with me. Mine is fun to shoot and everyone likes shooting it.
