So i just got a springfield loaded 1911, and it has been 100% with factory mags with ball and hollow points.

I also picked up some cmc powermags, 6 to be precise. and they all work 100% with ball ammo, but they refuse to feed on the last round with hollow points. both gold dots and xtp. they do not "jam" in the conventional sense, but the slide locks back with one round still left to go, and the loaded round is found sitting on top of the magazine, above the feed lips, but not in the chamber.

does anyone have any ideas what is going on? I have ordered 2 wilson etm mags, and I'll see how they work.

thanks!

Inertia feed. At the moment the cartridge jumps free, the follower has no choice, but to press up on the slide stop. New mags should be thoroughly cleaned of any lube.

Ill try degreasing them before my next range outing.

I just thought it was strange that they worked 100% with hardball, but not with hollowpoints.
