Why?

The question has no logic to it.

Try applying the same reasoning to another piece of machinery.
So Honda makes the best passenger sedans, does that mean if I need a truck I should buy a Honda?

Of course not.

I eval companies on their individual endeavors. Some are great at certain things, some fill specific niches.

What was the last Glock rifle you bought?
Last I checked, Uberti wasn't making 1911s either.

Get my drift?

relax, can no one here think outside the box, we are all here to share knowledge and ALSO for entertainment, it was a simple hypothetical question, try not to be so arguementative and high strung please, I rather enjoy reading through this thread

FN of course, with Browning and winchester they have the largest array of world class weaponry.
Levers from winchester, hunting rifles from browning and numerous designs like BHP, FAL, P90, Minimi, SAFN, SA22, ...

Of course, I might be a little bit biased.

I would have to go with Remington. For shotguns, I really like the 870 - it is my very favorite shotgun. I have found it to be realiable and I am very comfortable (not to be confused with skilled) with it.

Remington also has a few bolt action .30-06 rifles, so I would set on that front, and I have an old Remington SportKing .22. IIRC, Remington at one point made a .233 pump gun that was meant to be an alternative to the AR, which would supply my black rifle fix.

If only Remington made handguns. Wait, didn't they have a few revolvers a long long time ago? I do believe they did, and they are planning on making a 1911. Even though 1911's are not my very favorite handgun, I do like them, and I think that a 1911 instead of a Glock, Hi-Point or Ruger is a fair trade if it means keeping my 870.

Old pic, rifle been waaay updated. CZ does also carry pump and double barrel shotguns, and WILL be reintroducing the Dan Wesson revolvers inthe near future.

Colt... at one time or another the've made just about everything: handguns, rifles, shotguns, MG's, etc.. Pretty sure I have more Colts than anything else.

I would go with Springfield or S&W. I love my XDs, plus Springfield has a nice set of 1911s, and the Socom rifle is sweet. I dont own any S&W, but they have a complete line and are a well respected brand.

I guess that I would go with Springfield. With an M1A and one of their Custom Shop 1911s I would be pretty well armed.

............another vote for S&W. Their quality, accuracy and warranty is better than Ruger(Ruger gives you no written warranty on new guns anymore) and their recent acquisition of T/C shows a commitment to hunters and the guns they want. This from a guy that bought a new Ruger two weeks ago.

jon, you are absolutely right, my bad that Utility shotgun ia an auto, sorry. http://cz-usa.com/products/view/cz-712-utility/ I took a quick glance, looked like a pump, went back and lookedagain. I don't own any shotguns, not that interested. BUT, the DW revolvers are rumored to be making a comeback soon, and they have just about any flavor of bolt action rifle you could want, as well.

I do not own just CZ, BTW, I also have Smith, and the odd milsurp. :)

HK, hands down. from carry pistols to the most rugged combat pistols on earth, setting the bar for submachineguns with the MP5, giving the world one of it's greatest battle rifles in the G3 and what is considered to be the worlds finest semi-auto sniper rifle with the PSG-1. The FABARM shotguns were totally badass too.

Plus they all look sexy ;)

im screwed either i have to give up my m1a & keep my kimbers or i get to keep my m1a & lose my kimbers. probably stick with springfield. & get a couple of their high end 1911's. if it weren't for my m1a their would be alot of good choices s&w,ruger,cz. love kimber 1911"s but they dont have any rifles i would want.

I'll compromise. :)
If I had to make all future purchases from one company, I'd go with S&W. They make 1911s, ARs, great revolvers (although I'd buy used, pre-lock ones) and some decent shotguns...although I would probably be okay with what I already have in the rifle/shotgun department.

That would mean I can only buy S&W revolvers and S&W 1911s going forward. I guess I can live with that.

For me it's a tough choice between S&W and Ruger. If it really came down to it, I'd go with Ruger since S&W don't offer any single-action revolvers.

H&K would be my choice. They make handguns, (assault/battle) rifles, SMGs, machine guns as well as some kind of shotgun I think.

CZ would be a great choice too, though...
