If you could only purchase the listed goods from one manufacturer, who would it be?

For instance if you could only buy your handguns from one manufacturer which one would you choose?

The same for rifles. What rifle builder would you choose?

Shotguns? What shotgun manufacturers?

Ammo? You have to buy from only ammo company.

For me:

Pistols - S&W with CZ a close second. S&W offers the best revolvers in the world, one of the best polymers in the M&P, and a fine line of 1911's.

Rifles - LaRue - ar15 and ar308 is all I need, as I don't hunt. The traditionalist in me wanted to pick Remington for all their great bolt action rifles.

Shotguns - FNH/Browning - I wish there was an American manufacturer that made nice o/u, s/s, autos, and pumps all at one company.

Ammo - Speer Gold Dots, although I prefer Hornady's overall line of rounds.

What say you?

I currently thinned the handgun herd to only S&W, CZ, and Colt.

Handguns: Glock. You have a choice of six different calibers, in three or four different sizes each. Everything from deep concealment to competition and hunting. And you don't have to buy many different holsters.

However, If I had to include .22's and revolvers in my collection, I would say Ruger for my handguns.

Rifle: Browning

Shotgun: Beretta (or Benelli) Can't make up my mind.

Ammo: I am a big fan of Gold Dot.

This is a hard question. It would be easier to answer "if I you were limited to only one make of firearm, which would you choose?" It would be Ruger at this time due to the fact that they have everything from AR's to .22 plinkers, as well as hunting rifles. They also have excellent semi-auto handguns and Revolvers. Pretty much everything I could ever need. I just need one of everything they offer! Although, now that I think about it they lack pump and semi-auto shotguns! Dangit.

At first I thought you wanted all firearms from one mfg. That would have been difficult though I could probably do it with Ruger.

If different mfgs for each type, I find it kind of easy.

Pistols: Glock (not my favorite but concealed carry would make it my practical consideration).
Shotguns: Mossberg (actually I like them so much I haven't bothered with any other brand to date)
Rifles: this ones a bit harder but I'd like go with Ruger as I like the mini-14,30's and think they make a good bolt action hunting rifle.

If there were only one company selling any of these items I'd raise money and start a competing company.

The quality from a monopoly is always trash no matter how good the quality started because without competition there is no motivation to maintain quality.

Pistols: HK. Their quality is superior, I can tack drive a target at 100 yards rested with one of mine, and they make good smaller concealed guns too. They don't have any 22 pistols with the exception of their scaled down models. If I had to include a 22 pistol, I'd go to Ruger for the one company for pistols.

Rifles: This is tough. I love my 700 bolt actions, but I don't like Remington semi-auto rifles, the 742 I have is absolute junk. I think I'd go for FNH/Browning if I had to pick one, my FNAR is an awesome weapon. I like my HK military rifles, but I don't know of any bolt actions they make, so Browning/FNH it is.

Shotguns: The 870 is good, the Mossbergs are good (blasphemy, I know) but I really like Benelli.

Ammo: Federal. Hydra-shok for defense, boat tailed soft points for hunting, American Eagle for plinking. Plus, they have those awesome pink shells for the cancer awareness.

Lest I seem un-American, my favorite rifle is the SA M1A, I like Kimber 1911s, old Winchester shotguns, S&W revolvers, Remington 700 bolt actions, and High Standard and Colt 22s. But, none of those companies do it all in one category like the OP called for. That is interesting.

Revolvers -- S&W
Pistols -- S&W
Rifles -- Springfield the one in MA not IL
Shotguns -- Remington
Ammo -- Home Garage

I would be able to get EVERYTHING from Ruger hahaha....oh wait I already do just about...but not the shotgun...thats next

Ammo from Remington would be just fine

ammo---cci for my 22s remington for everything else

Handguns: Ruger
Shotguns: Remington
Rifles: Savage

Ammo: Winchester

I consider most such questions needless though. There's no need to limit yourself to "just one" except in some strange "What if" scenario. Even if you want to "Thin the herd" on your guns it should come down to which individual guns you want to keep, not trying to reduce the number of BRANDS which is an initiative with no real purpose.

Pistols - Cz (they even make a highly-regarded 1911)

Pistols - If I had to choose 1 company for all handguns, it would probably be Ruger, because Springfield doesn't make revolvers or pocket pistols, but Ruger makes semi-autos. (I prefer the XDm to the Ruger SR series, but I'd rather keep my LCP and SP101 and get an SR40 than just have an XDm).

In practice, I'm trying to keep all of my handguns of the DAO-style triggers (well, my SP101 is DA/SA, but after every shot it's DA, so without manual manipulation of the hammer it functions like a DAO semi) and with no manual safety. This pretty well limits me to specific brands. I have an LCP and an SP101, and love the XDm series. I will get a Glock down the road to fill caliber gaps (specifically 10mm and .50 GI) that are not offered by the XDm.

Rifles - I do not have any yet, but I like the looks of POF...mainly because a lot of the features I want that are "extra" on other brands are standard on POF.

Shotguns - Benelli all the way.

Ammo - I would honestly go with Winchester. They've always worked in my guns, and every store seems to have Winchester ammo in stock for whatever caliber and style of cartridge that I need.
