My experiences with Christensen have all been negative. Sold several back when selling guns earned me a paycheck. Sent several more back to Christensen than I would expect for a rifle in that price range. This was all done in a period between 2012 and 2015, so things may be better now, but I still won’t spend my money on them. I saw everything from loose and even missing action screws, to carbon fiber barrels fraying apart, to rifles that just flat out would not shoot. To my knowledge, Christensen made things right on all of them, but I’d hate to drop that kind of coin for a rifle that may not perform well out of the box.

Congrats on the new rifle! I have never owned a Christiansen but my buddy does and I have shot it, they are very nice rifles. Enjoy it and the 6.5! I have 2 Creedmoor rifles and they are becoming my favorites. It will do fine on elk as I know 4 guys locally that have taken elk successfully with the 6.5 just use a quality bullet as others have stated. I am going to try the Barnes 127gr LRX

I spoke with support at Christensen today on adjusting the trigger pull. They were very friendly and upfront on their concern on customers adjusting triggers. They had a customer or two or three who adjusted the trigger so light the gun(s) were unsafe.

They have no problem with me adjusting the trigger pull; they just want me aware that if the gun becomes unsafe because of the adjustment that the fix is not a warranty item. (Silly me, I would have thought that the fix would be to increase the pull weight.).

Trigger tech designs the trigger with a range of 1.4 to 4 pounds. Right now my guess is I am at or close to 4 pounds. It might be more if CA used a heavier firing pin spring than Triggertech anticipated.

My trigger pull weight gauge should arrive on Thursday. (Cost is $25 with shipping and tax from Midway.). Should be fun testing the pull weight on every gun I have.

I will be surprised if I can’t get it down to 2.5 pounds safely.

MM13, sorry your experience has been negative. So far, I am happy, very happy with the purchase. It is light, looks great, came with features (limbsaver buttons and upgraded trigger) that I would have added to the other rifles I was considering. The build quality on mine is excellent. Everything works smoothly, just needs final zeroing on the scope and some trigger adjustment.

If I can get to the range on Friday, it may go hunting for Kansas’ Short, early season anterless hunt this weekend.
