i've been trying to come up with ideas for my girlfriend who is also a shooter and carries every day. so what sort of gun related or not so gun related gift ideas do you guys have for a beautiful lady who loves guns ( and, strangely enough, me )?

I have found 1 or 2 DVDs online that were good. "The Complete Glock" is an example. Of course there are just as many or more that you would say "why did I waste my money".

I give a lot of NRA memberships as Christmas gifts every year. but that probably wouldn't cut it as a gift for a girlfriend.
Is she happy with her method of carry? Maybe a good holster that she might want but wouldn't buy because of cost.
What kind of gun does she carry? Could it be upgraded in any way ( grips or maybe a trip to a good gunsmith for tweaking ).

You're lucky to have such a girlfriend.

Merry Christmas All,
Tuckerdog1

DVD: Rob Leatham; How to Shoot Fast and Accurately. (oldie but a goodie)

This video ended up costing me a ton of money though... Uh.. maybe that's not a good gift idea. Next!

One of the best things I got was a special mat that goes under your guns when you're cleaning them. Keeps solvent and oil from the table, chairs, and carpet

Always use boxes of cartridges

Do you have a safe???

Range bag and/or hard case carry boxes

good, solid state electronic hearing protection

Best idear yet! We all know how loud people talk after aquiring hearing damage. The last thing you want is your mate to be yelling at you the rest of your life.

You can forgo the hearing protection, but by all means; keep her ears in good health.

I gave these to just about everybody I know last year. At about $10 makes a great stocking stuffer.

Depending on what she carries, some pretty grips or holster would be nice. Emphasis on the pretty part.

Coranado Leather makes some nice purses and such specifically for concealed carry.

Women love jewelry, so how about some Golddots or Sivertips? :D

For the folks in Retail...

Have I mentioned how I hate this time of year and do not miss retail?

I had two "Notices" in the back room and I made sure to make copies and share with other poor souls.

1) This ain't Burger King - and hell no you ain't getting it your way" Captioned a Sweet little old saleslady taking a baseball bat to a customer.

2) This is not exactly what I had in mind when I asked where the tree should be put.
Captioned a Lady with rectally inserted tree , hollering out the front door and it is obvious the husband is going duck hunting.

3) Reindeer Backstraps - available only once a year.
Captioned a dad whom gave his kids their presents early...using 'chimney blinds.

This next one was a favorite cartoon of mine.

Kid opens his long box and has new Model 70 in '06.
Mom is horrified. "I said the boy could not have a Red Ryder BBgun
Dad replies " I obeyed your wishes - that ain't a Red Ryder.
:D

I know for sure a certain Sales Lady at Coal Creek would appreciate anyor all of the above. :p

Depends on how much you want to spend.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I saw some excellent purses for ccw

I was thinking of one for my 22 year old daughter.

Well rather than me list them all - google "leather gun purse"

I saw high end gun purses for about $200.00 - but that would be cheap just for a purse that would last many years.

thanks for the replies. this is gonna be tough.
electronic ears - got 'em, two sets
surefire - she has one
before you suggest it, she has a nice benchmade auto that she carries every day
leather - this is a tough one. thos of you who carry know how personal leather is. we are still experimenting with carry modes but she's trying a belly band at the moment, we'll see how well that works. we decided that carry in the purse is a bad idea.

btw, this is in addition to the ar we are building just for her, which i can't help but brag about: armalite lower, rra lower parts group w/ match trigger, ambi safety and ergo grip, tapco stock and sling adapter, m&a detachable rear sight, stag arms limited edition 14.5" barrel w/ permanently attached phantom flashider left handed flat top upper.

she carries a glock, so there ain't much you can do to make it "pretty."

oh, and i'm pretty sure i'll be getting her a diamond ring but that's somethimg that one should present in person. ;)

she's got plenty of evil black polymer and steel things so i'd like to get her something nice and girly and cute but i have no taste in that sort of thing. i'm hopeless.

didn't I read that Victorias Secret was coming out with a line of concealed carry garments? VS is always good at Xams and Valentines Day, just a thought and theres perfume - Hoppes #9 is always a good choice;)
