Im looking a sporterized Checkoslovokian BRNO Mauser. The whole gun is nicely chromed?
I wouldn't touch a nickle plated gun with a 10 foot stick. I think they look horrid and most of the nickle plated guns I've ever seen have the nickle pealing, bubbling, or chipped off of them somewhere. No thanks.
Steel cannot be chrome plated. But copper can be chrome plated, and copper bonds to steel. I suspect that copper solvents get thru the chrome and attack the copper underneath.
