48 hours in the tumbler! I bet those rounds looked very bright and shiny, almost mirror-like finish!

Ummmmm, yeah! Dig out some shades before viewing the following pic.

Thanks for the accolades! It was fun, something I had been meaning to do for some time. needed to get outs the cabin, been acting like a hermit.

With that in mind, since Snuffy and I experience similar weather, I have at least six recipes I would like him to test...

Jim H.

Um, no, I spent half the time in the car trying to thaw my hands. Darned arthur-ite-is!

I calculated a 2-sample t-test for the difference in means for Snuffy's two samples of 20.

The resulting t-value is .79, which is not significant at the .05 level, not even close in fact. In other words, there is no significant difference between the means.

The scientist in me naturally has to qualify the results: They're only valid for this powder, at this load, with this caliber.

There. I feel better.

But that aside, I personally have no concerns about tumbling live rounds, to remove case lube or whatever, for a limited period of time (say 30 minutes).

Hey guys, thanks for the thumbs up!

BUT lets not forget that Exposure was the O.P. Of this thread! If he hadn't lit a fire under my arse, I would have stayed in the cabin, the cabin fever would have gotten worse.

As we found out, his 15 minute run through the tumbler didn't come close to what me and walkalong did, but it got the whole thing started. Now if the doubters will realize it's a non-factor, they could also benefit. I'm not holding my breath though,,,,,,,,..........---------:neener::neener:

Sunffy - a happy belated Birthday. Watch what you say about 243 there are more than one of us. Yes I did not read all the posts, just yours.

The reason I am replying to your post, is that "Yes there is FREE LUNCH" back in the 50's I grew up in Kenosha and my great uncles (grand ma had 13 brothers and sisters) owned about half the bars in Kenosha. And beer was still 25 cents all the time even during lunch (which was free). Of course that was about 50 years ago.
