Citori .410 O/U ?

I found a nice Citori O/U, like new, Gorgeous wood and choked "Skeet 1 & Skeet 2", has 26" barrels. Guy wants $800, I want to pay $600. Who is closer to the value of this gun. Are they any good? I only have an old single shot garden .410. Is there a .410 skeet class? Is it competitive? Thanks.

Sounds like a great buy for a Browning Citori. .410s are kinda scarce in that configuration.

Skeet has a .410 division in registered shoots, it is very competitive.

I had a Citori 3 bbl set, the .410 is both humbling and fun. Be it skeet, special course for 5 stand , doves or quail.

I searched all the internet gun auctions and the Blue Book (and you folks) and concluded this is an outstanding buy! Nearest equvilent gun I found was $1200. This is an older gun, has blued reciever and fixed chokes. Has factory butt plate, not messed with and no evident dings or marrs. It is tight but shws some use. I am whipping out the plastic on speculation for the guns I have up for sale.

I am the proud owner! Got a take down Browning hard case too. Owner used it very little after his first .410 stage of skeetAny way here's the bad news: I TRADED a very pretty, rebuilt by Oyster Bay Trading Co in the 80's 9mm Mauser pistol (sorry wildalakabutwifesaidNOcharges!) with a "dragon" carved stock. I shot the thing enough to enjoy the fun of it, always had to be careful of being bit with stock on, it was not near as accurate as my Luger , and shucks I WANTED that Citori ! The .410 is something that the wife and grandchildren can enjoy(eventually ) , it looks really neat next to my 60's Browning Superposed, this Citori was made in 73. Skeet one and Skeet 2 should work on Quail, at least. The former owner threw in 400 rounds of 2 1/2 #8 Skeet rounds for me giving him the leather shoulder harness for the Mauser. I'll try the thing on skeet course in a couple weeks.

Just remember that it's a little 12ga and you'll hit the targets accordingly.

IIRC skeet 2 choke is a fraction tighter than I/C so it should be dandy for covey quail shooting.

So is this the Browning Brown Hard case?

I took a Sack Up [tm] and cut in half. One half used for receiver and the other for bbl. After wiping down , placing in these, then into the Hardcase I never had a problem in transporting in the heat and humidity, or freezing cold.

You are going to have a LOT of fun! Great gun! Busts quail real well. I used Hard #8.5 shot mostly with some #8's handy.

Now you need a MEC single stage to reload...
