As title states, I've heard that the frame on the CZ P-07 [and polymer Rami, too] can bulge out after a few hundred rounds. CZ states that it doesn't affect the gun, but I can't imagine that it is a good thing.

What about the P-09? Has there been any reports of "bulging frames" for this one? I have one but really haven't had it out to the range much at all. Not sure I want a gun that gulges. If there is no incidents with the P-09, then I'll be very glad. I really like it.

Let me know if you have heard any reports. Thanks!

I think the bulging was a problem with the earliest production P-07s, but was resolved and doesn't seem to be as issue with newer guns.

The polymer-framed RAMI, according to the CZ-USA website, was discontinued in 2011, so guess a fix for that model wasn't worth the effort.

About 300 rounds so far. I've been on the CZ forum several times and haven't seen anyone complaining about the frame issues the P 07 experienced.

From what I understood they changed the polymer early on with the p-07 to correct the bulge issue. I doubt they would go back to the old polymer that was causing the problem.

I have a couple thousand rounds through my p-07 with no issues, it was made after the bulge issue was fixed.

Thanks for the info guys. Very helpful, and good to know. Love my P-09. :D
