Shot my best round of 5 stand so far, a 21.

My second and third time ever shooting skeet netted me 21 and 23.

I. Am. Addicted.

Thanks. What other games? I shoot sporting clays and 5 stand mostly, and might start shooting skeet once in a while now that I've tried and liked it. I've shot plenty of trap in the past, and haven't even thought about trying it after discovering the more dynamic games.

I looked for something like that around here, but all I've been able to find open to the public is trap, skeet, SC, 5 stand and flurry.

I'd like to try other stuff like crazy quail or FITASC.

Skeet Field : Crazy Quail, Stepping & Fetching...etc.

Trap Field : Wobble trap.

Various games are played on various fields. Just make friends, inquire and you will be invited to participate. Best thing I can suggest - observe a round or two first. :D

Of interest, I have pulled Crazy Quail for 3 gunners to practice  :D

5 stand, we had a set up where we were NOT in the cages, instead in front. We used akin to Hogan's Alley. 4 targets set up to toss targets at us, set kinda lower than ususal too...along with other "presentations".

These clay fields , no matter which, are useful field to learn and practice skills for hunting (of course, why invented) also for more serious shotgunning.

How about - Doubles on Station 1. Special Rules allow for 3 shells. Between taking H1 and L1 you have to take out a BG balloon - partially hidden? Maybe take out a teddy coming at you on being pulled at you on a rope.

I/we did not want to always shoot predictable targets. Add colored targets, White, Green for instance, these could represent whatever you wanted.

Even with a portable such as Trius One Step *tm* all sorts of drills can be practiced and instilled.

Flurries are Fun! Even more interesting is when some are coming at you!
Serious Fun is When ALL targets are coming IN...Broken Arrow!

You need communication and folks you have shot with - Safety and at least 1, better to have 2 Safety Buddies for each shooter. 8 target throwers, 3 shooters...and whoa doggie! We are not in cages, we are wearing two shell pouches...(at least) and Safety buddies dumping in more as we go...Added pucker factor...you are to "move" to cover from time to time.

You change this up, but some of us wanted "cranked up a notch or three".
I have done this 4, 3 2 and by myself. Humm....Intense comes to mind.

Safe -Serious - Fun , does more for Cardio than riding bikes or swimming. :p
