Dunno, I just traded my old computer monitor for $60 + the Chinese chest bandolier for my SKS. Holds 200 rounds on stripper clips in easily accessible pouches. Not terribly heavy and doesn't jingle. Very much handy, and it can be fitted over the external body armor I've got in the closet quite comfortably.
I would imagine that fumbling for the shorter SKS stripper clips in AK mag pouches would be a pain, as they'd fall deep into the pouch. AR mag pouches are similarly quite deep, but less curved. This may cause an issue with the curved stripper clips.
