i went to a gunshow today which had a surprising amount of blackpowder revolvers compared to what i have seen in the past in these parts.
i almost had me a 7 1/2 inch SS ROA in trade for my winchester model 94 .30-30 (made in 1950) but then at the mention of the transfer on it the guy tells me he was from nevada and either couldnt or didnt want to do transfers, otherwise he would have gladly taken it, and i would certainly gladly had the ROA :cuss:
i was probably losing on the deal money wise in the first place, but i was sorely dissappointed after getting my hopes up :(

between what that guy and another fellow had, there was at least 6 or 7 ROA's there, all between $450-500. there was also a good number of original colts as well as repros. i saw a repro of the starr double action and then a bit later an original! i held the repro and it was a lot light than i expected it to be, i didnt even think to ask how much he wanted for it though :neener:

anyone wanna trade me an ROA for a winchester?

longrifle, i guess i should have specified that i was losing monetarily based on what i paid for the damn thing lol
yeah, i probably got ripped off a bit, got it at a pawn shop. for being 62 years old, it seems to be in pretty good shape. maybe i should put some pics up :neener:
