And here's the email I recieved after I'd sent them a message saying that I'd no longer be dealing with Ebay because of their new anti-gun policy:

Dear ------,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the closure of your account.

We're sorry to hear that you'd like to close your eBay account as a
result of our recent changes to the Firearms policy.

Please note that the changes to the Firearms policy have come after
careful review of our existing policy. Although we value our open and
honest environment, some items that can legally be sold may not be safe
for our marketplace. Many of our policies go beyond what the law
requires to ensure the safety of our eBay members and the community.

As you are a valued member of our community, we sincerely hope that you
will consider continuing to use eBay for your online trading needs.
However, if you still wish to close your account, to have your request
processed as quickly as possible, please go to:

Follow the directions you find there.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Shantell D.

Closing your eBay account

Message: I am permanantly closing my eBay account due to your new
anti-firearms policy. You have made it clear that you do not want or
appreciate the business of law-abiding gun owners. Therefore, I will
take my business elsewhere and encourage others to do the same.

What an absolute crock. More people die in car crashes, so why don't they ban cars and things required to make cars run? :cuss:

I did the same a few weeks ago. I got the same, canned BS reply you got, word for word.
After that I sent in my manifesto.....:neener:J/K it was a heated and a bit nasty 'cause I was pissed. I pointed out that I could buy bats, knives, cars and many other deadly weapons on ebay without any controls. No reply from them. Hit 'em in the pocket, folks.

It will be interesting to see if they will enforce their new policy. Other companies have developed policies they think will limit their liability in the event of a lawsuit, and then not vigorously enforced it.

Colt's official policy is to still stamp all AR rifles with bayonet lugs, collapsible stocks, and flash hiders as "law enforcement only". Ruger won't officially sell high capacity Mini 14 mags to the public, but won't really do anything if one of their dealers decides to. Winchest labels the Black talon replacement round (Ranger-T I think) as law enforcement only.

I never bought much off Ebay anyway. I never seemed to get in on any of the deals other people got in on. I can usually find the same product for less from other vendors.

Closed My

I got in on one of the final bids for some .40 brass and won the bid. Strange,in the "Others" section of the reloading section they are taking business for shotgun hulls and even for rifle brass and some bullets for reloading.
