So there I was...

As I stepped into station 10, I started doing the math. All I needed was a 41 on this station and I could shoot 100 straight and take HOA.

Pull, the first bird launched. Pull the second bird launched. Pull, a report pair. Pull, a true pair. Pull, another true pair. Did I shoot a 41? Did I take HOA? What do you think?

I shot a 6, but it was enough to take the "D" Class belt buckle (Lewis Class) with a 65.

The weather was warm, but thankfully Pat and Cory had water out on the course. And even though this was their Club Lead monthly fun shoot, the targets were (very) challenging. Moore-N-Moore's spectacular scenery didn't hurt either. Everybody was having fun.

After a delicious lunch of New York Steaks, Six-time California State Champion (and today's HOA) Tommy John agreed to re-shoot the course with me and give me some pointers. Needless to say, with Tommy's help, I did much better then my previous 65.

Our lesson ended on station 10 when Tommy broke a pair of crossers from the hip. When Tommy's friend Phil said, "I bet you can't do that again," Tommy did. At that point, (shaking my head in amazement) my lesson was over :)
