I have a cmmg .22 conversion that works (after a lot of troubleshooting) in my Del-Ton, but will it work on a plumcrazy lower?

Don't see why not. The mag well is the right dimensions, holes are in the right place and the FCG is of normal design and function but made of polymer.

it should. A lot of plum crazy owners over at AR15.com use them with .22lr set ups.

You didn't describe the problem(s) so it's hard to say ....

Read my post again. I have no problems with the conversion in a plumcrazy lower. I said I had some problems with it in my DEL-TON.

The hammer is wider than a metal hammer in lowers. You will normally have to shave the sides down of the hammer so it can get up inside the upper to strike the firing pin. Call these guys and check their prices; tell them what you are trying to do. They will usually send you an extra hammer in case you mess up the shave job.

Anyone had to do this like Sky mentions?

Sorry I thought as others you were having problems with the Plumcrazy lower and the CMMG .22 upper. Should work with a Del-Ton upper due to channel being wider; can always use a chalk coated hammer and put the lower and upper together. If the hammer strikes anyplace where it should not be hitting then at least you will know where the problem is. Chalk, talc, anything that will leave a smug to include grease.

No problem here with the plum crazy lower on any upper I've tried. The cmmg 22 conversion I've got has had no problems with any lower in my safe. Currently working on a 9mm olympic upper thats going on a plum crazy lower.

Well that is good to know about not having to shave the hammer...When I ordered the two lowers I discussed what they would be going on...the shop has sold over 3000 Plumcrazy lowers and they are the ones who said that I would have to shave the hammer down to make it work on the .22 CMMGs.

They are sending me two extra hammers all of which should be here this week. When everything arrives I will post about the lowers fit, finish and shave job (if needed).

Hope it all goes together like it is supposed to. They have started putting milspec buffer tubes in the lowers now instead of commercial or so I was told.
