Sadly surplus CMP .30-06 ammo jumped 10% this weekend. It is still a bargain at just over a quarter a pop for the Lake City and a little more for the Greek.

I have noticed that the LC shoots just fine dents and all and is quite accurate. Even though they claim 10% is unshootable I have only seen about 1% that I would not shoot. Also the spam cans of the Greek they have sent me were opened already. Is this normal? I was hoping for sealed cans. Still it shoots just fine also.

In the good news department they now sell cheap .30 carbine rounds.

Spam cans opened already? My first case (4 spam cans) were all intact. I have another case coming this weekend so I'll check ... but I've never heard of any CMP Greek ammo coming in "open" spam cans.

Further proof that i suck at the commoditites market. I was going to take a drive up there, but had the time and no money, or had the money and no time. Makes me want to just suck up the shipping and order it instead of making the drive to save the couple bucks.

I bought a case and one can was open. Maybe they were checking the condition of the rounds? If you go and buy a case of the Greek they might let you open a case to make sure all cans are sealed before you take it.

I have only bought one case of Greek. Four cans, all open. I did not like this but all the rounds I looked at appeared serviceable.

I think I will shoot them an Email and ask tomorrow. The lids were still in the crate also; they were just opened and sitting on top of the cans.

I ordered two cans of the Greek, wish I had gotten the case. The cans were both sealed inside the cardboard shipping box.

Went to the North Store for my Garand, got some Greek with it. Wasn't opened. Let us know the solution to that little incident.

Two cases. Neither opened. The ones w/o clips were sealed also. Maybe it is just a percentage they inspect.
