I ordered a case of the Greek HXP ammo from the CMP on 2/8/07. Here it is 2/19/07 and it still hasn't shipped. CMP still lists the quantity in stock as "10+" so I know they didn't run out or backorder it or anything.

This is my first ammo order from CMP, so I don't know if this is normal or not. I am also aware that CMP has been very busy lately sorting through the newly-arrived M1 Carbines.

Is it time to call and ask about my order, or is this how it long it takes for all ammo orders from CMP? Thanks.

Robear.

If it isn't there this week I would check on it. You don't say where you are, if you are in a remote area it may take longer.

It took a week to get a case here in Texas. The delivery guy was complaining about how heavy it was and wouldn't bring it up the walk.

Edit/ oops, we are neihbors. You def should get it this week.

Give them extra time. They are swamped right now.

I ordered some early in Jan, it did not arrive until Feb. CMP is good, but right now they are loaded down.

Seems like the last order I got took about three weeks (maybe more)....as you've already stated, they're pretty covered up right now. I'd give them a while longer before bothering them with a call. They are great folks over there. Great ammo too...you'll be happy!!

:D

They are working reduced hours from last year and are currently up-sidedown with the M1 carbines.
Please do not disturb them in their quest to get me an M1 Carbine:evil:
It usually takes a about two weeks to get it processed, so give them some time.

I think it was about 3 to 4 weeks for mine to arrive. Remember, they are not a profit oriented business. Even though you would think so with the prices lately, but one has to understand that the CMP Gravy Train is coming to the end of the line when the Garands and Carbines run out. They have to make as much as they can to keep their doors open to promote marksmanship long after the rifles are gone. Nobody is making guns for them to sell, they are relying on something made 60 years ago, and anything newer will not be allowed to be sold due to "Once a machine gun, always a machine gun" ruling of the BATFE.
