CMP legal scopes

I have an M1A that I want to put a scope on for fun, but also to shoot in matches and with the highpower league at my club. Does anyone have any recommendations on CMP legal scopes in the $500 range?

I have no interest in serious competition, this is just for fun .

I looked at the link and cannot tell if the turrets are click adjustable. If they are caps, under which the elevation and windage adjustments are buried, coin slotted, etc, this would not make a good target scope.

Yes you need target or tactical turrets. I've seen a couple of these scopes on the line and would consider it if I was in the market.

Parallax adjustment is nice and not found on many 4x scopes.

I’ve seen a lot of the Leupold scopes used. There are after market target knobs made for them.

I have my Service rifle (M16 clone) outfitted with an Athlon Helos BTR 1-4.5x24. It is priced around $430.00 without mount, and it does very well for me. I was surprised on how clear the 600 yards target looks like while using the scope. It has exposed turrets, parallax adjustment, zero stop, and illuminated reticle that is very helpful to place it on the X.
I have engaged targets close to 800 yards without any issues with this scope.
