Coast-to-Coast Model 288?

Anybody know this gun? Is it a known platform with a store-brand stamped on? I recently aquired one from my father-in-law and would like to know more about it. Oh yeah, it's a .22lr, r and short.

According to Numrich's chart http://www.e-gunparts.com/crossref.asp its a Savage 87J.

I have a Coast to Coast 843, which is a Savage 340.
