Coast to Coast was a drug store chain. It is a rebranded shotgun, possibly a savage. It would be like getting a Sears shotgun (friend has a bolt action 12 Ga from sears). I have a rifle in .30-30 that is marked with Coast to Coast and I couldn't be happier with it (well, I'd like the forearm a bit heavier.... maybe after hunting season).
Think it was a hardware store. I'm old enough to barely remember one before it became an Ace Hardware. And barely old enough to remember they had a gun rack back behind the power tools.
I have a Coast to Coast shotgun. Its a Master-Mag cc880. I have had it for about 15 years. Its made by Mossberg. I have the combo, rifled deer barrel. Over all is a good gun. Has the tang saftey (right were the saftey should be). Mine is a twenty gauge. About four years ago I seen a twelve gauge model at a store for $99.00. I have always regretted not buying it. Coast to Coast was a hardware store.
Coast to coast is now part of the True Value hardware store chain. I bought my Remignton 700 CDL .30-06 from the Coast to coast true value hardware store in Ojai.
I picked up a (Stevens, I think) Coast to Coast .410 gauge bolt action, box magazine fed shotgun a couple years ago for about $86. Pretty good shape, it's my "back door" gun. Nothing handier than a 410 behind the door.
