Anybody have any information on a cobalt SB-03 fire/burglary safe.Is the fire rating UL listed or just a guess? Also, what thickness metal on sides and top.Looking for something in this size range without going Amsec or similar for $1200+ shipping. Thanks

I have an SB-02C and it seems to be a decent safe. They have a good quality lock and seem well made. Fairly tight tolerances on mine. I would not hesitate to buy another one. No safe is immune from a dedicated thief and I think the Cobalt is heavy/thick enough to discourage the casual thief. I don't have the specifics on metal thicknesses but it is more than many of the safes I see in the stores. I feel it was the right combination of price and quality. Any thing truly valuable should probably be in a SD box at the bank.

I paid about $550 for mine about 4 years ago.

Thanks for the reply.I've searched for info including the website but no luck.I noticed it had a lagard group II combo lock so that was a plus.No info on how they came up with the fire rating or the metal thickness that it has.I do appreciate your information.
