want to know if anyone can tell me about this gun I have had it for sometime and now someone wants to trade me. I am wondering the approximate value.
It has .38 special CTG on one side and Colts Pt. F. A. on the other.
The barrel is 2" and has black perarl handles nickle plated. number inside reads 77919R with a T beneath it. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Mark

CTG is an abbreviation for cartridge. Other than that, I will let the Colt experts chime in.

Pitures?

I bought what I think is almost the exact same piece a few weeks ago but with factory wood checkered grips; I would love to see the black pearl.

condition has a LOT to do with it...I recently paid about $500 for a never fired nad like new 1967 blue'd Colt Cobra...I found the pirce a bit high but the condition is what made me bite...

thanks doc good to know...it had sat in the case at Gander Mountain for a year priced at $795.00...they brought the price down and I suggested down a bit more and one day they were running a sale with $100 Gander Bux so I bit...I told them "Nobody is looking for a Colt snubby but older guys like me."...they agreed since no one had looked at it (outside the case) but me in that year...

This made me smile. I'm a younger lady but decidedly fell in love with Colt snubnoses. Very good buyer's tactic, though!

Without seeing pics of the OP's nickel Cobra I can't compare it to mine, but I paid $525 and probably would have paid up to $100 more if it had black pearl grips. Would entirely depend on the condition, though.
