@ 460 Kodiak

I was young AND tough ---- once upon a time.

I owned and carried a COP,with 357 magnums in her ------- the pain was amazing.

Recoil was such,if you looked up that word [ recoil ] they had a picture of the COP.

AND when fired with magnums,it went out of time and had to be sent back = too often.

About as punishing as firing my S&W 360's with 125 grain magnums ------ OUCH bigtime.

I carry + P 's in both the scandium S&W's now.

I have both a 22 and 38 a,d lI've email
Shout. Email a lot at the Clab

I keep a Cobra .22 mag derringer around in case there is a gun buyback in my area. I'll swap it for a 50 dollar Walmart card.

Not so for my Bond Arms .45C/.410!

Yeah, I would see the COP as a novelty only if I ever bought one, and would only ever shoot standard pressure 38's out of it.

I doubt I'll ever own one. I don't have enough disposable income to buy novelties.

On a spur of the moment I bought a used American derringer, used in 45/410. To use it for SD I would have to determine whether an bad guy could possibly hurt me more that firing the weapon.

I guess I'm the odd man out. I own a Cobra Derringer in .38 Special, why, I don't know lol. I have had it for years and probably have several hundred rounds through it. I don't think the gun is inaccurate, I think the extremely heavy trigger causes the inaccurate fire. When you buy a $100 gun you get a $100 gun. If you want one buy it, you will get what you pay for but no more. It works well enough on snakes 6 feet away with shotshells.
