I'm loading up a bunch of 5.56 ammo with 62 grain SS109 bullets. I'd like to color the tips green, and make it look decent. What kind of paint is used? I suppose I could use a green sharpie.
What's everyone else think?

I have some 30 cal tracer and ap.

the colors are pretty much gone.

I have been building a wall display for a garand and wanted to add clips with the various ammo types available in ww2.

I tried sharpie but the colors don't look right. ended up with little bottles of testers model paint and dipped the points.

I don't plan on shooting these but I think if you are just doing the tips there shouldn't be any contact with the barrel so nothing should rubboff.

I found a green paint at Walmart that very closely matched the green of the SS109 tips. I bought mine as virgin bullets, never loaded, so never painted.
