I guess that used firearms really do hold their value better than I thought.

I was tired of the price of 5.7zx28 ammunition, and I had my eye on a PX4 Storm, so I decided to sell my FiveSeven MMk II on consignment at my LGS. The store recommended that I put a price of $1000, which I thought was pretty optimistic. But they called me today and said it sold for that.

To be fair, I also had a Kramer leather holster and some extra magazines, so it’s not apples to apples, but I bought it for $999 three years ago. I figured that it was not all the popular of a firearm with ammuntion that is still 3X the cost of 9mm - I figured I would be lucky to get $600.

My LGS charges 20% including FFL fees, etc. I used them mostly because as far as paperwork goes, they buy the gun from me and the buyer buy it from them. I wanted that bit of legal insulation.

So I will net $800, which sounds to me like a PX4 Storm and some magazines. They have a PX4 compact I can rent a few more times to make sure that‘s what I really want to buy - but I am very happy.
