colt 9mm to 38 super?

got a chance to get a 9mm series gvmt. what is involved in getting it to shoot 38super? is it feasible? just a barrel swap? different mags also?
any info appreciated. i found nothing on search, and 1911forum is down. thanks

You need a new barrel and bushing, magazines for the longer .38 Super cartridge, a different recoil spring, and perhaps a new extractor to handle the semi-rimmed .38 Super. You may also want different sights if bullet impact is too disparate between the two cartridges.

It's not too involved, but why change the 9mm barrel? 38 Super is very expensive to shoot. There is little if any performance difference in the two cartridges.
