I don't post this kind of stuff, but I can't resist. Made an impulse buy of a stainless Colt King Cobra 4" last night, no visible signs of wear other than the usual turn ring. Price? $260. That's barely more than Security Sixes are going for these days. Sometimes you just can't leave a store without taking a gun with you. I didn't need another .357 Mag revolver, but this one just couldn't be permitted to stay on the shelf!

Great find! Been a long time since I saw a Colt under $400 but....

Well, I didn't get a deal on mine...paid a LOT more than you did...

...but I have a photo: :neener:

Hey, gimme a break...I deserve on occasionally, and it's been a loooong time. I tried some pics but the flash on the digital makes the reflections pretty ferocious. It looks just like what Frandy posted above. I'd forgotten how nicely these 4" KCs handle. It'll be fun to get this one out and running.

I have a 4 in. K.C. It was my first 357. Paid $365 for it NIB a while back. I did a search on Gun Broker a couple days ago and the cheapest asking price was $499. A guy wanted $700 for a NIB. I like mine. Enjoy.

JNewell,

I was just kidding in my post of course. ;) I have a 4" Brite Stainless King Cobra that I just adore. It sits in the safe most of the time these days, it's one of most favorite pistols, maybe even my favorite. Congrats on a great buy and a very nice revolver! :)

Marshall, I saw the ;) -- no misunderstandings!

If it makes up for this, I sold a Combat Cobra several years ago and probably didn't get anything like what they're going for now. (Kept the grips that cam on the Combat Cobra though, before I sold it - gotta try them on the KC.)

Got to the range yesterday -- wow, this one is like a laser. Interestingly and surprisingly, after zeroing with some PMC 135 gr hardball .38 Special plinking ammo, the Federal .357 300 gr cast core loads shot to precisely the same POI. Then, against better judgment and past experience, swapped the hammer spring for a Wolff reduced power. That dramatically improved the DA weight and over a couple of hundred rounds we had no ignition failures so that spring will stay in the gun for now/until it fails to bust a cap.

Edit - whoops, make that 180 grain!
