Colt letter and 3rd Gen Colts.

One letter says that the stocks are walnut, the other says one pair of ivory and one pair of wood. Are they real ivory?
Pretty pricey...
 
With those two being Factory Show Guns I think that adds a bit of provenance to spike the value. I think 6k is a wee bit high though. I wouldn't mind having them myself.
 
They were not shipped as a boxed pair by Colt. The letters state that they were shipped to two different individuals in two different locations on two different dates: J&J Custom Firearms in Columbus, IN on Oct 29, 1999 and Joseph Lucas in Seymore, IN on Aug 26, 1999.

The letters also state that the engraving was done by Colt expert engraver John Adams before sale.

The guns were displayed at a show prior to sale and shipping.
