Alright, I've been carrying for about a year now, I have always carried full size or extremely small. ( PT92AF/Beretta M21A ) I know right completely off balance but what can I say. It depends upon the days clothes.

SO to the story. I traded a rifle that I wasn't going to use ever
( other than plinkin & fun )

For a new carry. I decided on the Colt New Agent .45 ACP Series 90.

And I must say.. being new to carrying, what the hell was I thinking?!?
Full size sucks. This thing is awesome.

I think I have finally stepped into the true grounds of concealed carry.
Sorry it took so long. :banghead: LOL

Congrats on the new purchase! Mine has been perfect since 2007,mine carrys easy in a simple owb slide holster.Takes a little time to get used to the trench sight but it works.

Congrats on your NA. Mine shoots any/all ammo and carrys well in Galco Yaqui holster.

Shorter barrel with standard grip length. That concept really sucks. If it was designed by thinkers it would have longer barrel and shorter grip.

Shorter barrel with standard grip length.

The OP photo was taken with a really wide angle lens and the distortion makes the grip look full size. The new agent is Defender-sized with a short grip and 3" barrel.

Been using one since they came out. Still carry a Gov. often and have commanders. Found a good ankle holster to carry the agent when in long pants. I like the lines of the gun, unclutered. Usually cann't see the sights well due to diabetic eyesight anyway. Just line up the slide and bang away. Good enough to keep it in a 6" plate at 15 yds. Looking for another one then I'll get a bell charter oak NYR for them.

Cheers,

ts

I like the thin grips and the pistol is well balanced. Like others have said once the trench sight is master its a great set up for close quarters defense. I still practice longer shots, but 15 yards is max for me if I want a group at all. Light and easy to carry all day. Mine needed the ramp polished and a tighter ejector spring to make it 100% reliable. Colt took care of it all.

With most carry methods the grip is the hard part to conceal, not the barrel. Colt got it backwards.

I picked up a New Agent last year. Mine has the XS sights on it which I really wanted because for me they are very quick and easy to pick up in lowlight situations.

I like mine alot, it's a pretty unique little 1911 in a world filled with 1911s from almost every manufacturer imaginable, it looks more like a complete custom job than just another factory Colt. Ever since I bought my EMP it hasn't seen much holster time though.

For a gun with no sights, if you're doing your job it is actually surprisingly accurate at least at close range (10 yards or so). I threw a beavertail on mine, makes shooting it a bit more comfortable.

Colt most definitely got it RIGHT! The barrel AND the grip are both short. The grips are slim. All the controls minimaly sized. It's extremely concealable. I've handled one A LOT at my local GS, just don't have the cash on hand to buy it yet.

traded mine off because I hated the sights. I got a SR9c and love it more than the new agent. FWIW, i never had a single issue with the new agent.
