Well done, Sir!
The 3-5-7 Model would probably be the closest Colt analog to the Registered Magnum. The Officers Model competed with the K38.
Yep, you really had no choice. The only way to not have that happen is to stay out of gun shops.I already put it Layaway! I know I swear off guns until July, But $599 is not a bad relapse.
Ya, that's probably a better match. Both large-frame with adjustable sights, though I think .357 Shooting Masters are extremely rare. I've only ever seen them in .38 Spl. The Shooting Master actually predated the Registered Magnum by a couple years.Or how about the Shooting Master, the deluxe version of the New Service?
I switched Gun Shop because my new shop it a tactical shop and has a indoor range. Not into tactical stuff, but love indoor ranges because of time. They just happen to take in a few used gun.Yep, you really had no choice. The only way to not have that happen is to stay out of gun shops.
same shop I got the Ruger Six for $299. I guess they don’t know or care about old gunsI am surprised it was priced that low. Ya' got a bargain.
I’m looking for a pre-war 10”! bigger the better! I do like 3 “ tooWith that barrel, I wouldn't look at it twice, but that's just me and my fetish for 4" barrels...OK..OK...I've given in to a couple of 6" ones recently but the line is HERE.
However that doesn't mean YOU can't like it and should get it. I like the Colt Official Police. Now that I think of it, my LGS has a really nice 4" OP in the "If you have to ask, you can't afford it" case for the same price as the one you're all ga-ga over The only reason I haven't thrown it on layaway myself is I've got a 28-2 in there already, and I will NOT have more than one on layaway at a time.
I passed it up Wednesday because I thought it was a 6” .22. Then I looked at it Friday and seen it was around 7” and in .38, shield had barely a indent, no spot rust, front barrel wear was light… And only has $270 in my wallet. SOLD$599??? I would've torn something getting my wallet out!
If it’s a “tactical” shop as you mention, probably the wrong gun for the majority of their customer base.same shop I got the Ruger Six for $299. I guess they don’t know or care about old guns
it’s a great shop with some of the strangest guns that walk in. They also give 2 free indoor range pass for each gun bought. Waiting for a RM to come in! Then I’ll definitely be in the Dog House!!If it’s a “tactical” shop as you mention, probably the wrong gun for the majority of their customer base.
You’re the anomaly, you get the benefit.
Good luck with your new gun!
Sounds like you buy enough guns there that you could have them hold it and alert you if one does.it’s a great shop with some of the strangest guns that walk in. They also give 2 free indoor range pass for each gun bought. Waiting for a RM to come in! Then I’ll definitely be in the Dog House!!
Yeah that’s the point
It’s a new shop that I been going to, they have a indoor range that’s amazing when you only have 1 hour to shootSounds like you buy enough guns there that you could have them hold it and alert you if one does.
On the other hand, by showing interest, the price may increase 20%.
things fly way over my head sometimesYeah that’s the point
don't hate on the 38, it’s won 2 WW and 1 moreI would have been even more prone to buy if it had been a 22. 38's great (see what I did) but I really like 22 handguns.
Anyway, enjoy your almost stolen old Colt.
No hate here for the 38. I shoot almost exclusively 38 loads from my 357 guns. As to the 38 winning wars wasn't it the cause of the 45 ACP being developed to have more oomph to stop instead of just slowing down the enemy?don't hate on the 38, it’s won 2 WW and 1 more
I couldn’t rhyme 45 with WW!No hate here for the 38. I shoot almost exclusively 38 loads from my 357 guns. As to the 38 winning wars wasn't it the cause of the 45 ACP being developed to have more oomph to stop instead of just slowing down the enemy?
