Please advise me. I spied a Colt Pony (all stainless - not the Pocketlite) in pristine condition with box, papers, 2 factory mags, etc. and I was so tempted to pull out my wad but I resisted. It looks like it only had a couple of magazines thru it maybe one box of ammo at most. They wanted $600 OTD for it. A year or two ago, that would be a good price for one. When I did spy them at gun shows, they were usually in the $700-$800 range. I have been looking for one and not easy to find things when you want them. I checked GB but none seemed to sell recently and the high bids were $500-$600, with higher reserves and none sold recently.

Am I overpaying or is this a fair deal?

Please hurry, they are 'holding' it for me for one day.

This is not a MUST have, I have another (not SS) in my daily carry rotation and I really love it. So this would be a collector more than a shooter.

Its a colt . Their not going down in price that I can see. I saw a nickle mustang go for 750 no box 1 extra mag. couple mo. back. . A lot depends on where you live I belive. Its your call I would if had money take it. Of course I love Colts

I bought a beautiful blued .380 Government model for $500. a couple of weeks ago at the show but I wouldn't pay as much for a Pony - 'specially not a silver pony.

They're all just trinkets.

That's a very good price for a Pony; most of the Government .380 variants (Mustang, Pocketlight, Pony, etc.), have been going for upwards of $700 to $800 in the condition you describe the Pony is in. I personally would buy it fot the price you listed.

My local shop has two Colt .380's for sale. One is $600, one is $700. You have a good price on it. If it's something you want, and it's not going to break the bank, buy it. You'll only see them higher in the future, then you'll regret it if you don't.

It's what you want. It's a Colt in great condition. The price "OTD" sounds very good to me. Go and grab it and enjoy!

P.S. Speaking of Colts, I'm currently working on a deal to finally get my hands on a Python! I'm probably paying too much, but who cares, it is EXACTLY the gun I've been looking for in amazing shape. Can't think about it too much otherwise I'll never end up with one. Gawd, I hope this deal works out! Good luck with yours.

Got it. It is pristine except for some 'ring' marks on the front part of the grip. I might be able to clean them off. Looks like it was never fired, although they said it was.
