i have a electroless nickel colt python i know it was made in 1969 and had less than a 100 rounds through it. the grips are original and the clear coat has pealed off in a few areas the gun has no other flaws besides that my question is whats it worth i don't have a box or manual but i can get a manual if that really matters . i shoot alot i dunno if i should be out blasting away oand shooting matches with this gun or just put it up . i got this gun from my gf dad who has had it since it was new and hasn't touched it in 15 years. so anyone got an idea what its worth ?????

Python

I don't see too many Electroless Pythons. They must not have been as popular as the Bright guns. Check past auctions on GB & AA.
You didn't mention what the barrel length is.
Don't worry about the manual. If you had the box I would say it would have been more important.
Those grips are about $100-$130 to replace and would make a big difference in the look of the gun. How bad are they ? Those would have been the 1/2 moon style checkered.
Do you have pictures, that may help.
You could probably sell it and buy 3 Taurus Revolvers, or 2 Nice S&W Wheelguns or ???? :D
