Colt Python

I own a Colt Python Nickel finish with a 4inch barrel. It was purchased sometime in the early 80s by my father. The S/N is 189458. The finish is very good and it still locks up tight and functions perfectly. Does anyone have an idea of the value of this revolver

A lot of pricing depends on condition, and WHERE you you live.
In some parts of the country, it's very difficult to sell any Python and prices are low. In other places nickle guns don't sell. In some areas nickel Pythons sell very well and at high prices.

So, assigning a value is very difficult.
A good way to figure real value in your area, is to show it to a few good gunshop's, making it clear you aren't trying to sell it, you just want a value.

I've seen nickel Python's sell locally for $400.00 and on an on-line auction site for $1000.00.
