I just bought a book on ebay for $10, COLT BLACKPOWDER REPRODUCTIONS & REPLICAS, A COLLECTOR'S & SHOOTER'S GUIDE by Dennis Adler. (Lee, you were right - there's some pretty good stuff in it).
The question of whether a Colt Colt is better than a Uberti or Pietta pops up occasionally - this book gives some insight. Adler takes you through the history of the Colt repros, how they're made, when they were made, why they were made, and who made them. He also covers the Ubertis, Piettas and Rugers. He explains the manufacturing differences between Colts and Ubertis/Piettas (he never dumps on the Ubertis or Piettas, but does say that you get what you pay for). He even shows pics of Colts next to Ubertis and Piettas so you can see the differences.
Loading and cleaning are covered briefly.
Not a bad book if anyone is interested in seeing the differences in these guns, or if you need info on serial numbers, models, etc.
