I have a colt double action 41 calibur which belonged to my dad. I would love to know something about this gun, and have been told several different things, I been told that the gun was an 1850 model and then someone else seems to think it is a 1877 model. I have a serial no. on the grip and a different number on the cylinder. Can Anyone help me with this??

Post all information about the gun, including all markings, length of barrel, what shape the cylinder notches are, etc.

And post a pic if you can.
