How about a S&W 940?

9mm J-frame is pretty unique. Usually one will pop up on GunBroker every so often.

Prior to Newtown, I got a Ruger New Vaquero Convertible in .45. Been happy with that, if spending the total $1,000 needs to be accomplished. Those TRR8s are nice, but I'm not a fan of locked S&W revolvers.

I'd find a nice used 6" Ruger Security Six and send it off to Gemini Customs. I have an SP101 that they did for me over 10 years ago and it's my favorite revolver.....or maybe just send them a few of the Speed Six and Service Sixes I already have.

It would be a toss up between a S&W mod. 29 (6") and a S&W mod 27 (4" or 5"). They just look good to me. There are several others that come to mind but even mentioning them would sound greedy (even to me!)
