I've been watching a ton of videos lately on holster making.

I'd really like a "Hand of God" setup for my Taylor's 'Smoke Wagon' and would like to someday try my hand at making my own.

I realize that it takes a lot of time to do what guys like you do, and this particular project would be extremely ambitious at best and i have zero tooling or leather but, I think the rewards of doing it myself would be out of this world!

Practice first. When I first started it was read a book for how to information and Al Stholman had some that made things perfectly clear. Now days it's youtube and there are some excellent videos out there plus some not so great just like with any subject. I think some of Stholsman's books are still available and are inexpensive especially considering the knowledge they contain. Here is a tip. Buy some good leather to practice on. Herman's Oak is one of the best and it is available in small sizes so you won't break the bank practicing. Cheap leather is just a waste of money in the long run.
