Colt Wiley Clapp back from Alchemy Custom

Fedex just delivered my Colt Wiley Clapp from Alchemy, and I'm blown away at how nice it is! Rob did a fantastic job; I can't say enough good things about him and his shop. Now, I just have to figure out which grips to run with!

Flush cut and chamfer slide stop pin and hole
Flush cut and crown barrel
New S&A grip safety and fitting w/hand cut 25lpi serrations
Hard chrome frame and lower parts

The grips are custom diamnondwood from Larry Davidson. Couldn't be happier. The next thing I'll do, is have the slide ionbonded black, or some other such finish.

Looks amazing. I love a deep target crown like that on pistols. I have a ~30 degree crown on a BHP with mild custom work but it's a blued barrel and doesn't look as cool as yours.

Very nice work. The first thing that struck me as "cool" is the thumb safety. I have changed all of my 1911s to that type of safety. Everything you need and nothing that you don't. I was also amazed to see the checkering on the "hump" of the GS. I did that to a couple GSs years ago and have never seen another one like it. I offered it as a option to a lot of my customers and no one showed any interest in it. This was back when GSs with "humps" were a totally new idea. Now it's rare to see one without the "hump", just like seeing an original thumb safety. I like your gun very much.
