Finally went a picked up my new Colt Combat Commander yesterday. Gun was customized by John Bettendorf of JB Custom in Portland, OR area.

From the moment I first saw this gun it was something special I had to have. I'd been considering saving up and getting a Les Baer or Ed Brown 1911 until this gun came up.

Hopefully I'll get some nice weather this weekend to try it out...

Here is what has been done to it:

MMC Adjustable Rear Sight
Heinie Front Sight
Serrate Top of Slide
Front Cocking Serrations
Lower and Flare Ejection Port
Fitted Barrel - Match Bushing
Barrel Throated and Crowned
Tension and Radius Extractor
Carry Bevel Package
Tighten Slide Frame
Brown High Grip Beaver
Brown Tactical Ambi-Safety
Stipple Front Strap - High Cut
Match Trigger Crisp 4#
Ahrends Custom Tactical Grips
Full Length Guide Rod
Wolf Springs
French Grey Brushed Finish

10-Ring,

Thanks, I haven't even had a chance to shoot her yet. Hopefully this weekend.

Been a great couple of weeks, first I picked up a Glock 29 :D
and now this beauty.

I think I'm going to have a few unhappy guns at home in the safe, as all of my guns are of the compact CCW variety.

Do I carry the Glock 27 or 29, the Colt Combat Commander or the S&W 629 Mountain Gun (Compact for a .44)?

Probably sticking with the 27.

Steve
