I just an email from these guys on this. Im not in the market right now, but would probably jump on one if it were a 17 instead of a 19.

I havent bought any complete guns off of them, but I have bought a few other things, including an AR "kit" in the past, and they are good to deal with and seem to have decent stuff. Usually some good deals on barrels and parts too.

They also have one with a RMR cut slide and threaded barrel...

Combat Armory is NOT known for their quality when it comes to Glock parts. I would personally look elsewhere.

First Ive heard anything bad about them. What is it youve heard?

I have a couple of their threaded Glock barrels and they dropped right in and have worked/shot fine. Dont have any experience beyond that with the Glocks though.

We also have one of their AR kits, and I know a couple of other people that got one at the same time and havent heard of any problems.

I got 2 barrels and a stripped slide from them the other day. I was a bit annoyed to find that the barrels are like 1/8” longer than they should be so they stick out the end of the slide. Also the caliber marking is on the wrong side of the barrel which means you can’t see it with the barrel installed. I thought about sending them back but they shoot fine and are for basically bugout guns so I decided to leave them be. The slide looked to be nicely made but I haven’t put it together yet. Overall not a ringing endorsement of quality.

What I have learned from aftermarket slide parts kits and lower parts kits is just buy OEM glock and save yourself the aggravation. I have been buying used OEM glock lower parts kits off eBay for about $30 each and you can find new oem glock upper parts kits for around $75. All the cheap parts kits I’ve bought from various places have found their way in the garbage.

It was common for people to have issues with Combat Armory slides, barrels and parts kits on the old Marine Gun Builder forum. And if you check the Glock section on ARFCOM, you will see where others are having issues too.

I do know for a fact that the Combat Armory parts kits are cheap chinesium parts.

I agree with the Glock OEM small upper and lower parts for Glock-based handgun builds. All three of mine (19,17,34) used OEM innards and work perfectly. You don’t have to worry if they fit and if they will work like with some of the knock offs sold elsewhere. (Since I am in Ca I had to use serialized Gen 3 Glock OEM frames, too. But that’s for purposes of legality here, not function.)

Stay safe.
