O.K. as I think about the Plumcrazy lower I do like the weight.
I am not a polymer kind of guy all my pistols are metal in one form or another. Yes I owned a Glock once upon a time. Great gun just not for me.
Having said that the only concern I have with the lowers are the polymer take down pins and the little spring that keeps the pin from coming all the way out of the front catch pin. Being polymer the nipple that goes in the pin slot does not slide smooth like a metal pin with metal to metal contact. However there are many folks who put an AR together and never remove the lower!! Yes I do know a few and when you think about it they do not have to be removed unless replacing parts or swapping uppers. Just a thought.
For those who want a lite lower for their uppers at this stage I feel comfortable in saying for approx $120 you could do much worse. I had purchased 3 uppers of which 2 were in .22 so for the price of one traditional lower I was able to complete two rifles.
The hardest kicking AR I placed the lower on was the 7.62x39 while shooting the 154gr soft point with a 16" upper; that puppy kicks twice as much as my 62gr 556. The lower worked with no problems noted.
The guy I have dealt with has been a wealth of information (Bill @ London Bridge) as I have asked him questions which he has been able to answer satisfactorily and educate me on the Plumcrazy lower along the way.
