Back some months ago, I posted here looking for a replacement (upgrade) stock for my Browning X Bolt. This rifle was somewhat accurate but not nearly 1 MOA which is what I wanted in a gun. I figured a bedded, well made stock and a muzzle crown would be a starting point. Oddly enough, there were almost NO synthetic choices for a replacement stock for this gun. Finally I stumbled on Wayne York at Oregon Gunsmithing.

He crafted my composite sporter stock for me with a cheek piece and a high comb since I use a 56mm scope with high rings. This fits me perfectly. While at his shop, he also recut the muzzle crown and tuned the trigger which now breaks like fine crystal and no perceived creep or pre travel.

The gun is absolutely flawless. Bedded and pillared plus the stock fits me like a glove. So thanks for all the feedback some months ago as I researched a stock for an X Bolt. I said I'd post an update and here it is! Awesome!!

Congrats! But where are the pics?? :D
LOL.....I'd say I'm pic upload challenged but I'll give it a go. I just finished mounting the Zeiss scope with Leo rings using a new Wheeler scope mounting kit with lapping bars. This kit is really neat, and after ALL these years mounting scopes, I finally bought the real deal. Pics to come...I hope!!

Lets see it! Sounds great!! Still, I'm surprised your xbolt was not accurate though. I've got two, both sub MOA. My cousin went and bought himself one after seeing how accurate mine were straight out of the box. His turned out just as good, always printing a nice cloverleaf at 100 yds.

My X-bolt shoots great, but I do find the idea of a nice composite stock for it pretty alluring. With a nice stock, and about 0.5# off the trigger pull, it might be the perfect hunting rig. Can you tell us ballpark how much it ran you?
