I am looking at 2 different handguns. I already have an HK P30 but it is too large for me to carry. I like the Walthers and a local shop has a PPS in 9MM that is lightly used. Very nice. Also have the Walther P380 on sale for $329 which is pretty reasonable. 2 different guns. I believe the PPS is DAO and the P380 is DA/SA and has a safety. Its a 380. I know there are conflicting opinions on caliber. I would not want to stand in front of either one of them. Is a 380 with a 94 grain Hollow point adequate?? Thanks

You will be bombarded with all sorts of answers with a question like that.....
It's a fact that 9mm is ballistically superior, based on that simple fact, I'd roll with the pps.

Seriously, forget the Pk380 and go with the PPS.

I own a PPS and have put a ton of rounds through it without any error. It's reliable, super concealable, much more powerful than .380, and pretty darn good looking too.

The Pk380 is a real let down IMO. It just screams cheap to me. I have toyed around with one at the range and was pretty disappointed. It just doesn't live up to what I, and many others, expect from Walther.

If you are going to get a .380, get one that fits in your pocket. Otherwise, get at least a 9mm. Although many would disagree, I feel comfortable with a modern .380 and modern .380 ammunition, but still... Why carry a gun in .380 that is just as big as many 9mm's? As I see it, .380's are for when you can't reasonably conceal anything else.

I am carrying a 380 right now, but that is because it is in my pocket. If you are going to be carrying it the same way that you would a 9mm because its as big as one, might as well go with the 9mm. The PPS looks like a pretty sweet little gun.
