Learn to use weapons and protect yourself

Concealed carry could have prevented them.
My first double homicide involved shooting, decapitation, disemboweling, dismembering, multi-county distribution of both victim's body parts. That was interesting.
My opinions became clear after seeing psychosexual serial homicide, serial homicide, revenge homicide, multiple victim shotgun homicide, pedophilia homicide, rape homicide, execution homicide, random homicide, more. When seconds counted, police were only minutes away.
Most of those murders could have been prevented if the victims were psychologically, and through weaponry, prepared to kill their murderers. But they mostly didn't have a weapon available because they trusted and counted on police to protect them.
Most people are law-abiding citizens and can carry a firearm, pistol or revolver legally for self-defense, if you know the laws, and follow them to the letter.
You can carry a loaded concealed firearm nationally if you are not a felon, are photographed, fingerprinted for FBI criminal investigation, have no mental illness, drugs or excessive alcohol history, submit to states' police investigations, fill out required forms, pass law and authorized shooting courses, pay required costs and become licensed. Illinois has ``different'' laws, but it's doable with a firearm owners' ID, if you carry according to Illinois law and doctrine. Engage your lawyer.
A 32-year retired Chicago police detective/police academy instructor/constitutionalist and another retired Illinois State Police/FBI/constitutional lawyer/firearms instructor and I have all mentored a younger legal researcher who's compiled every national/state law in America, and reciprocity between states.
He's now legally licensed as Conceal Carry Service. He'll offer all laws, information, forms, concealed firearms applications to America. Watch for him in gun and hunting magazines.
Take charge of your own safety. Police can't protect you. We've seen proof.
