Pressed by local gun rights groups, Atlanta officials have conceded that it is legal to carry concealed in the non-secured portions of the Atlanta Airport. This is a huge win for CCW since Georgia citizens won the right to carry concealed on the local rapid rail system (MARTA) several years ago. But the longest, most dangerous ride most north Atlantans are likely to take is the 45 minute ride to the airport during off-peak hours. However, it was impossible to carry concealed on MARTA without a clear ruling as to the legal nature of concealed carry at the last station.

Airport Win

Too bad that GA doesn't allow the Iowa permit and too bad that I was a slacker and never got my Utah permit. I have to take that ride from the airport to the Lindbergh station tomorrow. Of course I will be riding in the afternoon but still. I will have to look up the GA knife laws so at least I can have that.

The tough parts going to be figuring out how to unload your CCW and check it if you are flying. I guess you could go to a bathroom stall with your hard cases and do the unload/transfer. Reverse procedure on the way back.
