Concealed carry in New orleans with a Texas CHL?

I will be driving down IH10 in a few weeks and am considering spending a night in New Orleans with my wife. I have a Texas CHL and I believe Louisiana has reciprocity with Texas. I have heard that New Orleans has some ordinances that supersede the Louisiana concealed carry ordinances. If that is true, can anyone tell me what those might be?

Texas permit is recognized in Louisiana. Here's a link to the Louisiana laws. There are 11 prohibited locations. No New Orleans ordinances trump state law.

Be careful of school zones, there is a no carry zone that extends 1500 feet from the property. Enjoy your stay otherwise.

Thanks everyone. I didn't see any restrictions on going into restaurants and clubs in the French Quarter. Is that correct or did i miss something.

It's a little tricky. As a rule of thumb, restaurants are OK for concealed carry, but bars are not. Here's the law:

Thanks Derry. That is quite confusing. Since most places in the French Quarter sell alcohol, that severely limits where one can carry.

I agree. Plenty of good restaurants in and around the quarter, though, that serve most of what you might want to drink. The bars are tourist traps and robbery magnets.
